And if this is wrong you can't prove anything :D

Get a copy of this:
ME Consultant 2.0
here:

I pulled this off the Pro version but I think the 2.0 has it as well.
I feel the ME Pro is a bargain at $50 and full of useful information.

Yes, I agree, every one that machines should have one of those, but.... it took me all of 4 clicks and 5 seconds to get the answer to his question and a lot more, can you match that Michel ? :D

no but I already have all of the standard NPT threading cycles programed! (i used to do alot of pipe fittings) :P So yes i can beat that, because its already done! heheh

but seriously the internet is a great resource, And i use it far more than the book but I don't know how many times the internet connection has gone south (at the worst time of course) So if i didn't have the book....well you know that story I am sure.

Thats the only reason i always tell people to get the book.. I know the internet works better but its like a woman: Shes always there to give you some, but when you realy need it she'll leave you high and dry! :D

Both versions of ME Consultant are standalone applications, and their ability to function has nothing to do with the status of the Internet. And the fact that you don't need the thread data doesn't help the people who do.

The Machinerys Handbook contains a vast amount of information, but it takes time to find and, often, a pocket calculator and more time to get the numbers you're really interested in (assuming you don't make a mistake with your calculator.)

ME Consultant (free) makes a very large number of calculations for you (machining, thread data, material weight, drill depths, etc.) with a few mouse clicks.

ME Consultant Professional (not free) adds detailed job planning for machining jobs plus many other very useful functions. Turns hours of manual calculations, page turning, and Internet searching into a few minutes.
