I have a requirement to cut a 1-1/16 GHT (Garden Hose Thread), 11-1/2 TPI to fit a mating part.
I have been unable to find any thread data for this thread.
What is a good resource to lookup oddball threads?
Even google lists many places that sell produts with GHT but I can not find any dimensional data.
Well the Garden Hose Institute Of course... :D :D
JK... Actually the Machinery's Handbook. They are listed as "ANSI Standard Hose Coupling Screw Threads". ;)

I looked in the Machinery Handbook and several other sources, they jump from 1" to 1-1/4"
I can not find any indication that a 1-1/16 actually exists, except for the mating part to the one that I am making.
Wow... Sorry I missed the 1_1/16" part..My bad.. :frown:
I really don't know where to send you..maybe call a gage manufacture..and see if they have any info..or see if you can get your hands on a copy of the ANSI standard that is referred to in the Handbook..It might have other odds sizes listed..

take a guess. :) its for your own stuff it doesn't have to be to a standard. and its a pretty good guess that if 1" and 1.25" hose threads have a pitch of .08696 and thread height of .05648 then the 1.0625" will too..
if its an od thread use thread wire or in this case probably Pins and messure the pitch diameter.
just a thought

OK
Plan 37 worked.
I just set the lathe to cut 11.5 threads per inch and kept going deeper till the mating part screwed on, and called it close enough.
Thanks
