Hi guys,
I bought a Logitrol 2.5 Amp Bipolar 3 axis Chopper motion driver with 2 stepping motors, one twice the lenght of the other (don't know why though).
This particular unit connects to the pc with the LPT port.
I had a look at the Flashcut demo and it uses a comm port, will this still be any good to run the motion driver.
I've got to say just playing with the demo I really like the look of how easy it is to use.
Can you buy only the control software, if so how much is it?

I believe you have to use their signal generator with their software, which will send the step and direction signals to your Logitrol driver. You should just need to make a cable to go from Flashcut's signal generator to the drivers.

Is it possible to download a working demo version, the version I've got won't allow me to set the controller online?

You'd have to have ther signal generator to do anything with it.

Hi Darc,

There should be no problems hooking up to your drives and motors. Since we do our processing from the signal generator, you need to purchase our Software/Signal Generator combination. Our demo will allow you to create g-code, import DXF files, and do full simulation, but you can't cut chips without the signal generator.

Our demo version can be accessed at: http://www.flashcutcnc.com/html/dow.html

Make sure to select the demo version and not the live version.

As far as pricing, I'm not sure if it's okay to post here, to please email me or check out the pricing on our website.
