It's a beautiful thing, how do you make it start running the program. "Master5" had a little button called "RUN" that's what I am talking about.

Click on the machine tab and click the play button

When I click on the "machine tab", I get two options, (1) load machine setup, (2) creat new machine setup! What I have sence learned is to go to ''view", CNC CONTROLS, and that brings up a controll panel, then go to "AUTOMATIC" and then down to "CNC Start Process".

I like this program but it does not drive the 267 oz in steppers with any authority, they jump, back up, skip, and have little power, I cannot mill a part with this performance.

My old "Master5" is better, but it has a whole new set of problems that prevent me from making parts at this time.

I was able to repair both my "Xylotex" boards, (I had some help) :D

Did you go into the setup, and set system timing, and table setup [max feed rates, etc..?

for me setting it up is a trial and error thing, mostly error. I think I have it set up where I can run a part now. The jumping and skipping was because my whole mechanical system was adjusted too tight. After looseing things up a bit it seems to work OK. I have measured the torque I am getting from the 267 oz in steppers driven through a Xylotex board and they measure 228 oz in, sounds about right as the Xylotex does not allow the full 2.8 Amps.

I do like this program. (Kcam) I write my own G-code because I don't know how to make the DFX thing work.

My table top milling machine is my own design useing parts taken from a Harbor Freight drill press, a heavy duty X - Y milling table fitted with double nut Ball Screws from McMaster Carr, and a very sturdy double column Cranehead design. The highly modified spindle is ER-16 with angular contact bearings fitted. I would post a picture but don't know how.
