    Default Geometry Query Manager

I am using Alphacam Standard Router 2016 R1, and Im attempting to automate our tool path abilities as much as possible. I have been working on the Geometry Query Manager and I'm at a stuck attempting to get it to work. what I want to do is for it to recognize hole sizes and internal geometries based area and put those on my user defined layers. I import a DXF and want to run the Query upon import. any help with understanding the query language and function would be great.

    Thank!

    Hello,

it is easy. You can activate in add in function Input CAD extension. By this you can run query during a import dxf file.Set Query is also easy set. In a menu you can select which parameter you want add to a condition. So for example IF Radius = 10 then result layer = Hole_10.

Explanation IF , ElseIF, Else ..... you can find on a net.

    For example

    If variable = 0 then
    do something
    else
    do something else
    endif

    Not to hard to understand.

I have made some headway, what I'm having trouble with is finding the correct expression to identify different size rectangles inside of a geometry. Any guidance on that?

I have another one for you if you dont mind, some of the rectangles have radius on the corners thats larger than the tool radius. how does that affect the query? example being a 5x3 rectangle with .75 radius at the corners

    Hi All,

I'm using the AlphaCAM geometry query in 2017 R2 and would like to separate 2 kinds of inside geometries: pockets and inside through cuts. With how the machine is set, I need to place my material top as 0. We cut various material thicknesses, and I'd like to set up just one query for all parts that I would extract. The only solution that I've come up with would involve me making a query for each material thickness. Is there a way to accomplish this with any of the field options that exist in the queries?
