    Default Surfaces Editing

Hi everyone, I have just started to dabble in 3D drawing on alphacam and have a requirement to have embossed lettering on a curved surface.

I can project the text geometries to the surface without a problem but once there I do an extrude of the surface and it picks the outer and inner geometries i.e. in a letter O and extrudes just the line upwards. I need then to infil to achieve a surface to be able to machine the letters as embossed which protrude above the main surface.

It seems painstakingly slow to do a ruled surface (2 curves) as it is only allowing me to pick the various sections of the extruded lines one at a time. I can do a flat surface but that makes a whole flat surface from the outer ring and another from the inner ring and my question is does anyone know how to trim theose two surfaces to just leave the actual lettering as a surface which can be machined?

    Any help very much appreciated.............
