Challenging 3D project
Hello Camheads,
I run an SCM 220 at a small mill shop. I draw in an old 01 version of alphacam. For the most part, I can get the router to do what we need it to do. Mostly profile, curved moldings, signs etc. I have to make a tapered, wedge for the center of a fancy sign. This wedge is 2" wide at the bottom, 6" wide at the top, 10" o.a length. The thickness slopes from 1.5"thick at the 2" end to 3" thick at the 6" end. I can make the slope easily enough. Then cut out the outside dimensions. My problem is that I also need to cut in some tapered coves that follow the slope. My question is- Is there a way to draw this in 3-d as a whole and then apply tool paths? I have zero experience with 3d drawing other than using profile function. Any pointers would be repaid with extreme gratitude and adulation.
Thanks Benaiah
