I believe that your post processor should handle that.
Our Morbidelli is the same way, Z down is positive. We program Z down as negative in AlphaCAM, and our post takes care of it.
Hi all
please see the picture attached.
The definition of direction of Z is different between ALPHACAM and my machine.
Is there anyone who can tell me how to set the direction of coordinate Z in alpha cam V5 to adapt my machine's axis Z.
thanks a lot.

thank you for you reply
I don't have the post processor of this machine.
I heard that the direction of Z in ALPHACAM2013 can be modified.I want to know whether or how I can modify the direction of Z in ALPHACAMV5?
I can define the direction of every axis in software PRO/E to adapt every machine.
Do you mean that you program Z down as negative in post processor ?

I doubt that you can change the Z direction in AlphaCAM.
We program in Alphacam with Z down as negative, and our post processor outputs code with Z down as positive.
Our post was written by SCM, so I don't know how it's actually done.

I have a presumptuous request t .could you send me this post file? I may study how it outputs the correct Z

No, I can't. It's not a freely distributed post. I believe it's also in a binary format, and not viewable.

All Alphacam versions are Z up positive, you cannot alter this at all. As previous posts have said, the post processors reverse the Z values if required by the machine.
