Smile Thanks Toby...

That fiqures, I just had them send me the V11 CD's for my upgrade. I like having the CD's. Have these been like a patch, where you just update and not completely reload?

The V11 upgrade requires a new install. But the SP should only be an update.

Cool, hope that terrible constraint bug is going to be fixed, tired of having to constraint parts then deleting the constraint to do the next one. graham

It is being tested now. Do you have a file you would like to test?

I haven't done the upgrade yet but when SP1 is Ready it is first on the list.

All Alibre customers should have gotten an email about the V11 SP1 by now. If you haven't, contact your sales representative or Login to your account and upgrade.

You have two options for SP1 so read carefully.

Cheers!!!!!!!

V11.1 status NICE!!!! So far so good on a 145 part assembly. The new Dell Precision M4400 is handling the software very well

Question Updated to V11.1 ... I think???

I updated by mailed CD to V11.0 and seemed fine. I then downloaded the V11.1 patch and darn if it didn't it crashed every time I shut down. So I uninstalled everthing and started over.
Everything seemed to go fine after the reinstall. But I cannot confirm that the update is there. I checked under "help" and "about Alibre Design" and it only shows:

Alibre Design "Professional 11.0
Alibre Design version[PRODUCTVERSION 11,0,0,11065

Have I updated correctly or not??

(ps - I cannot log on to the Alibre site today as I resigned up on the site and the confirmation was sent to the office computer, not here at home.)

Do a complete uninstall.
Then use CCleaner to clean your hard drive.
Defrag your drive.

Now when your ready Login to your Alibre Account and download the Complete Version not the Patch. Reinstall and your good to go.

I am still testing V11.1 on the Dell Precision to make sure all is good. V10 is still running on my other 3 systems until I have tested everything.

So far V11.1 handles very well. Processing is much faster, and there are many new Assembly Tools, and Part Design Tools. OH, there are a few really neat functions that have been added as well.

V11.1 is handling a 250 part VMC Design extremely well and may be installed on all my systems as early as next weekend.

You will Love V11.1.

Cheers
