    direct coordinate entry

when you choose the direct coordinate entry option from 2 d sketch, why are the x and y axis called u and v instead of x or y? is there any way to fix this so x and y are displayed?

I can see your confusion with the letter addresses and do not think they can be changed.

The reason for U&V is because they are the parallel axises to X&Y on a CNC Milling Machine which follow the axis addresses for Cartesian coordinate.
