    AD tutorial annoyance (nit)

Sorry in advance for the dumb post, but this is driving me crazy:

When I use the built-in tutorial in the AD Pro trial, the tutorial window opens in an "always on top" state, so that I can't flip between the tutorial window and the part creation window easily or conveniently.

To elaborate, when I am viewing the tutorial window and try to get to the part creation window using ALT-tab, while the part creation window gets input focus, the tutorial window stays on top, blocking it.

Can anyone solve this for me please?

    Thanks!

    jv

btw, is this stupid, or what?

I tried to cross post this in the Alibre forums. I registered over an hour ago, but still no account activation email.

I tried to log in anyway, and I get "The specified username is currently inactive. If you have problems activating your account, please contact a board administrator."

So, how do you contact an administrator? You have to log in.

    Nice!

Any chance an Alibre forum admin is on CNC Zone too?

Same thing happens, with PRO. I feel your pain. I open it up on my laptop watch the tutorial then perform the procedure on my desk top. I am super happy with what I have taught my self but have been a user since before version 9. I rarely call for help although I do have maint. Seems every time I have an issue the tech support is just as stumped.

    Hi jviss,

Email me at jonathanp@alibre.com with the Alibre forum username you attempted to sign up with and I will manually activate the account. The confirmation email may have been caught up in your spam filter.

In regards to your feedback on the tutorials, you can resize the windows to view the tutorials and part workspace simultaneously. I have attached an example of how I do it on my laptop.

I tried this. Still a pain - dialogue boxes, like 3D sketch "revolve boss," for example, pop up under the help window on the right.

    Thanks anyway.

I did some research on this, and it seems it's a characteristic of MS html help, and there's really not much you can do about it.

One guy I know just runs the tutorial on a different computer.
