    Smile upgrade??

We have Pro CAD with Pro CAM and that, at this time is good enough for us. But just to let all know they are selling an upgrade from Pro to Expert for $250 at this time. ( That is just for the CAD side.) Nice deal if you need the step up.

I upgraded from pro to expert. Great deal. I wonder if Alibre has sales on CAM.

No sales on CAM... it's lic. and controlled by Mecsoft. I did ask... I have CAM Pro and love to have CAM Expert ...2000 grand more.
It's a smart move by Alibre...sell the software at a good price for expert get a hundred bucks more for maintance each year. Nice cash flow method.

Looks to me that onecnc XR3 expert has more features than Alibre expert cam for about the same price but I like that when making a change to the part in Alibre cam the tool paths will update. Not sure which one to invest into yet. Currently using Bobcad V23 pro.

I'll have to look at Onecnc I'm don't know much about it. You might consider looking at Mecsoft VisualMill's top end product if your not already embedded with Alibre's CADCAM system, as I am. Though I bought it that way, I sometimes wonder if it might have been better to buy the Mecsoft CAM, not embedded and separate from Alibre??

You might also check into SprutCAM. There's an add-on to load SprutCAM and populate it with the the current part directly from from Alibre so that the file export/import dance is not necessary but SprutCAM will not update the part if it is revised in Alibre.
