I own a Digital Tool Meta Machine and another home built copy with a smaller table.
I use a front end designed by a company called Production Automation Technologies. I think they are out of business now.
I've got Indexer LPT 4.0 on one machine and god knows what version on the other. I have Anaheim Automation DPF72004 controllers on both machines.
I am getting three flashes on the fault indicators which according to the literature means that the machine is decelerating too fast and it's losing positioning.
Question: Is this something that Indexer handles with it's acceleration value?
If so, is there some sort of ratio that I can use? Trial and error doesn't seem to be working for me. Slowing down the accelaration shows little improvement or shifts the problem somewhere else.
not really a savvy 'twidgit' here, but we also run a Digital Tool Meta Machine, which we bough some 8 years ago from an outfit in Grand Rapids, MI.
The machine has never run quite right, and we have to run it VERY slow to be reliable.
Ours has the DPK72004 drive pack, which as far as I can tell, is the same as the DPF, accept the power supply is 800 W instead of 600 W.
I believe Digital Tool went under years ago and then reappeared as TD Tool. I think they may have even gone under again, and re-appeared as something else (my sympathies to their creditors).
Have you tweeked the kick current?
Try decreasing the max acceleration in the CNC.ini file.
not much help, I know....
