In the last couple weeks I've started doing some more work on the mill and have got it ready to do some test cutting. I remade a couple of parts that I wasn't happy with as well as designed a column Stiffener Plate shown below along with the CAD drawing. I spent a couple of hours aligning the column and tramming the spindle with good results. Next I want to do some cutting tests to see if the spindle stays aligned when doing heavy cuts. Also, if anyone is interested I'll do a write-up on how to align the column and spindle. Once I'm done testing everything and I'm sure everything works they way I expect I'll finish the plan set and post it.
