HELP
I have a 1988 Cincinati Milicron 7VC-750 VMC with a Acramatic 850 control that I bought from a Local University (it is nearly new), I put the mill in the shop and wired it from 480 to 240, rewiring the hydraulic and coolant motor. My hydraulic thermal overload keeps tripping even though I set it to 7.3A (the motor at 230V is 6.2A), I will try to solve that later. I went the do a machine alignment and the tool changer stuck in one position towards the spindle. The next day after the machine was off over night I replaced a bolt in the wrist actuator cylinder that must have fallen off during shipping, then I tried to align the tool changer and couldn't get the controller to manually move at all and go to home so I can align the machine. The Error message I get is “TA in unsafe position” “ALERT# 13525”, it is stuck in a half cocked position and the only thing I did was physically move the tool changer aside a little so I could replace the missing bolt in the actuator pivot end. If the thermal overload would not keep tripping I might be able to eventually figure it out, I figure I will have to change it. But help would be awesome!
How can I home the tool changer, and keep the hydraulics running, I am a novice with this machine! It ran perfectly when I purchased it, and only traveled 30 miles.
