Its more complicated than you think than just simply bumping up the max rpm value. You have to adust the spindle frequancy parameter as well. Can't remember the calculation or exact parameter number off hand. That spindle isn't designed to go much faster, its specifically design just for the TL-1. A larger spindle is on the TL-2 / -3 models.
As for the rapid speed, the servo motors will only turn so fast. Ball screw pitch plays more of a role in rapid speed then the motors do. And of course, all this playing around with parameters void the warranty. |
