Do you have an LPT enterface card to help with wiring? If not it makes things much easier for someone who is new to this. I like the DB1 card from Axxus tech.

Once you have the card, you can see the pin number listed on the card for step and direction. E.G. pins 2 & 3 are step and direction for X axis. Pins 4 & 5 are for Y axis and so on. Once you know the phisical location of the wiring you can setup the software to match.
