| Mainly just looking at building something. Also, I'm looking at building a lathe a little bigger. Also, I think it's a solid design that should work. I ordered a 7x12, which will be cnc'd and something to play with. It should make 90% of the items I want to do. However, long term, I want to be able to turn items 1.5" through the spindle. I can't seem to locate any "affordable" lathes in that price range. ((Looking at turning 1" bull barrels etc)) I also looked at salvaging older model lathes, but looking at mega weight/size there. |
