| 3D Modeling with 80/20 Extrusion I just came across this, and thought that you guys working with 80/20 could use it. go to: www.3dcontentcentral.com and create a user account. Once you log in, you can download models of most of thier catalog parts, not to mention thousands of other models from other vendors available on the site. I think that it would make creating a model using 80/20 very easy. Have fun! |

| Along the same vein, I came across this site that has free CAD drawing for a range of parts. Including Linear Rails (THK, IKO) and others.

| I agree with fyffe555. The 80/20 software is a breeze. I comes with most, if not all, 80/20 parts...from extrusions to nuts and bolts. You select your part and snap it together to design your stuff. Once you're happy with the design, push a button and get an instant price quote from the software. You can then print or fax it to 80/20 as an order. JR |

| Does it work? Does the Autoquoter work with other CAD Programs or just AutoCad?

| PTC is offering a free 15 day trial of their EFX (expert framework extension) module for Pro/Engineer. I am trying it out right now and it does OK for automatically building framework with 80/20. They don't have metric sizes yet, and their selection doesn't include the whole 80/20 catalog. But they have Bosch and ITEM catalogs modeled up too. If you're interested, you can try it at: http://www.ptc.com/appserver/wcms/fo...&icg_dbkey=482 |
