Hope you can Complete the Project.... I am working on the same instructables CNC But having Faced McMaster-Carr Reject Email ! Blah blah......
I had to improvise fast !!! I plugged most of the Holes that were going to be either... Timing Belt Roller and Bearing holders... and Redesigned the Support Gantry to be Driven by Lead Screws ! and Coupled to a Moving Knot Jig and Elevated the Y Rails by 1" to Enable me to Feed pieces under the Y axis... Which you could only do with the X Axis
Best of luck with yours....
It's well underway !!! and I can't wait to start using her...
Maybe Try Princess Auto for most hardware... if you have one near by? Lead Screws, Bearings, 1/2" Rods and Mill heads and I saw Timing Gears in the Surplus Aisles.

Some industrial supply vendors in Canada can get you products from McMaster-Carr at the same price within a perhaps longer leadtime in some cases. Lafco
www.lafco.ca is on of them. Lafco has stores in Montreal QC, Quebec city QC and St-Catharines ON
