    Default Meaning of N in load max spec

    im trying to find out what " - Load max. - 5000 N" means in this technical data sheet...
    TECHN. DATA / ITEMS SUPPLIED
    - Aluminum cast, powder coated gray
    - 2 anti rotation elements
    - 2 M8x20 socket head cap screws
    - 2 M8 square nuts
    - Weight - .263 kg
    - Load max. - 5000 N <--------------
    would like to see if any one could help me with his one...thank you...want to make sure how much weight i can put on it...

    Correct. 5000 N is about 1100 pounds.

    CAD, CAM, Scanning, Modelling, Machining...

    wow would of never guessed it...so basically its 1 ton and 100 pounds...thank you so much

    No, 1 ton is 2000 lbs.

    Because it is close to 1000 kg (a metric ton), which is 2200 pounds...

    CAD, CAM, Scanning, Modelling, Machining...
