The motors were large surplus tape drive DC motors with 2000 count encoders. The Rutex arn't a fussy drive. They worked even when the encode wasn't aligned well. Although I put them on a scope and adjusted them and they worked perfect.
PS: I know other people that couldn't get the Gecko to work reliably as well. |
