I did see just how close I was to the positive once. It did arc som on me with my old board.

It didn't burn anything out though. All three still ran after that. I will be covering that positive side with a wire splicer sleeve when I set the new board. Lesson learned.
I wasn't sure if some of the grounds may have been tied to a resistor or something and might give a false reading. I will be cranking up the new board on a lower setting than the 3.5 volts I initially used. Maybe down to 3 or 2.8. I can work up from there later.
