3-Axis Limit and Home Switches Sharing Single Pin | |
I have my 3-axis cnc mill set up to run the shared limit/home switches on all three axes from a single pin and it works fine on my machine so I know it can be done. When you set all the limits and home signals to the same pin Mach 3 is smart enough to know how to interpret the signal based on the context of the machine at a particular time. The only drawback I have found using this method is that the axes have to be homed sequentially (one at a time) which takes a little longer.
