I have finally settled on the model of VMC I require and have a question for you guys that perhaps you can help with.
I need a 4525 with extended Z, (which appears to be a "younger" machine) and was previously informed, I definitely need a good quality rotary table for my usage.... a Nikken was suggested.
I stumbled across a new table for sale for a good price so I brought it, only "problem" being it has a DC motor (for Fadal).
My question is - The 4525 looks like it will have brushless AC servo motors from the factory, is it possible to mix axis drive cards/amps (i.e is it possible to have the other three axis, AC as per factory .... but install a DC controller for the 4th axis and run it DC) ??
Failing that, I guess the only alternative is a motor change ? |
