check the simple things first | | Hello Everybody that responded to this post. I found the problem. It was the relay in the back of the machine. Believe it or not I had changed the relay when I first started having problems with the index, but must of installed a used or defective relay. To anyone who may have this problem in the future here are the steps I took to repair the indexing. 1)Checked the dos page for the indexing positions, found no reading, 2) checked the 24v to the encoder, found broken wire and repaired and confirmed the readings on the dos page. 3) inspected the valve solenoids and replaced. $482.00 for set and saved old ones for emergency backup. (this machine runs 24/7 and its worth the investment) 4) changed the 4 relays in the eletricial panel at $2.50 each. Found them online at 10 pack for $25.00. That corrected the problem. I would like to thank all for you for your quick responds and help. For more info feel free to contact Lou Valadez or Austin Dean at Universal Machining Corp. 847-437-6778. |
