Sorry but I missed your first post to welcome you ...
Bob is a great help and quite inspirational, most of us struggle making a CNC router with all limbs working, he is doing it with only one side working.
Have a look around to see what you can find locally, there are also a couple of metal recycling type places in Brissie that sometimes have old machinery that contain all sorts of goodies, steppers, linear rails, servo's etc, they turn over most of it for scrap but if you are there at the right time...
There are a few CNC BBQ's starting up there as well, one just recently and they are talking about making it a regular thing. They are a great way to get some ideas and meet a few like minded (sick ?
) people.
