heres a quick update, I hadnt ran the machine due to the leak and just ran my haas, till I had time to fix it. friday night I started messing around with it, traced the leak to the front x way oil would pour out.
The reason I didnt run it is due to if too much oil is going through one opening then your not getting oil to anything else. which is not good at all. and its not worth ruining a machine over.
so since I was sure the leak was on the one part, I put the x table all the way to the left and popped out the metering valve to see if it could be a blown out unit, ( which I have never seen ever and I have replaced lots of these on lathes and acrolocs).
when I yanked it it had a nice hole completely through, the screen was gone or what ever else was in there.
now since I had it apart I was trying to figure out how I could run it. Didnt want to block it off just for the weekend. finanly said screw it toss my cig in the ashtray. the answer was right there.
the filter on the cig. I was able to pack enough in ther to get a couple of drops of oil just like the other ones did took me all but 10 mins. hooked it back up and everything is running perfectly oil wise. now tomorrow I can order some new ones and not have a machine down while waiting. quick fix if you need to run. Make sure you pack the filter material in cross grain so it doesnt flow through and plug up anything.
the metering unit that had the problem was on the x table on the bottom side fo the table ( it has 3 metering units_ you dont have to take any covers off to replace them, just run your x all the way to the left grab a mirror, a 3/8" wrench and a 10mm wrench and your done.
