I usually search using linear rail AND linear slide (2 searches). Use wildcards: linear rail* will return linear rail and also linear rails (plural-most people sell them in pairs). Ditto linear slide: search for linear slide*. Also, just use the vendor names: THK, Thompson, and NSK.

The wildcard thing works well for motors too: step* motor* will return results for step motor(s), stepper motor(s), stepping motor(s), etc.

You might consider the ground round shafts with roller bearings for you axis.

Also, consider complete slides with motor mounts, rails, screws, limits, and so on. More money up front, but they are a "canned", pre-built solution and you can save in the long run.
