We have the same machine with the Mitsubishi Meldas control. I have looked through all the manuals for what that restart switch does, but there is no information. We restart programs by entering the program number and N number using the search button on the Monitor screen. This method does not pickup the current tool offsets, (with the restart switch in the up position) so you must be sure that the offsets are loaded. I am guessing the switch might cause the offsets to load, but not sure.
The graphics only shows tool paths. To use them before you run a part, turn machine lock on. Because the spindle is not turning, you must also use the Dryrun to move the tool while in a feed move. (flip dryrun off in rapid moves to get the tool to move faster)
If you find more info on that restart switch, please post.
