I did not have my camera yesterday.
Below are pictures of the unit. It appears near identical to Grizzly's 13.5 X 40 Gear Head Lathe.
THe unit fell over in a truck and the handles on the front side took the brunt of the fall. The leadscrew in the cross slide was damaged and needs replacement. All of the handles were bent or completely broken off.
Aside from the damage, the unit came with a 13" faceplate, extra gears and a 4 jaw chuck. None of these items were ever used. The bed ways are in good condition with little visible wear. The motor is 110/230V. All the gears shift smoothly in both forward and reverse.
The only visible wear is on the jaws for the 3 jaw chuck. The seller indicated the unit was used to face reconditions printing press parts and little else. The leadscrew for the power feed was out of the machine and appears to have never been used.
For what I paid ($150), if it was complete junk, I should have no problem getting my money back scrapping the bad parts and selling the rest. For now, I plan on resurrecting this and use it to learn metal machining.
Still searching for a source of part lists and manuals. I sent an email to the manufacturer. Maybe I will hear something.
