Yep, a 1/2" chuck is very large for a Sherline tail-stock and lathe in general.
What brand is the ebay stuff? If it's no name Chinese that could certainly explain the run out problems.
The Jacobs chuck with Sherline adapters is very nice. It would make more sense to buy that instead of spending more money on HF or ebay junk. |
