I own one of the high-tech systems quick changers, and have used it on my Taig. They are nicely made, but not what I would call "heavy duty."
It is not able to hold the tool without slipping under even fairly light loads. For example, milling a 0.1 slot through a cast aluminum box lid with an 1/8" endmill causes some slipping. The IH mill should be able to hold the spindle more rigidly than the Taig manages to, so the chatter I get should be reduced or eliminated, but the tool slipping would be a problem.
These tool changers would work fine for PCB milling or engraving type applications, milling plastic, and _very_ light aluminum milling, but don't expect to take that 1/2" cutter and hog through steel with it. On the other hand, this system does make tool changes a snap.
If anybody wants one, mine is up for sale
