I work for a municiple recreation department and this year we replaced our Model 520 Zamboni's with Ice Bear electric ice resurfacers. The two 520s went to auction and one sold for $1,400 and the other is currently at $501 Canadian - multiply by 0.8 for a rough US price). The auction closes at 9PM pacific time.
Well, after seeing that pricetag CNCzone popped into my head! Anyone have a backyard ice rink and need a cheap Zamboni?
The auction is run by the British Columbia Government at

To see the zamboni click on the "Browse for Auction Items" on the right side of the page then on the Vehicles link at the bottom. The zamboni is about 5th place down.
In case someone is wondering - the sale price means nothing to me I'm just a maintenance tech. I just though that a Zamboni at this price might be a new toy for someone here. I know that this particular Zamboni was in running shape when it was taken out of service and that the engine (propane powered Ford industrial 4 banger) was rebuilt about 3-4 years ago. BUT, keep in mind that parts are not cheap from Zamboni authorized suppliers.
I do remember buying a Volkswagen Golf electric radiator fan motor and using that on the other Zamboni (bolted right in, worked great) for 1/3rd the cost of the "proper" Zamboni fan though it wasn't as heavily built.
Anyway, if I had the room and something resembling an actual use for it I'd be tempted to bid lol.
