I just write mine down on paper , make a few copies and store in different places including the control itself.
My BTR doesnt allow me to send programs back to the pc so im sure i would be able to send the parameters back either .
There arnt allot of them anyway so not a major problem just to jot them down.
Not sure if there is another way .
My 6t"s i do the same thing .

On the 6 series you can punch the parameters....
    select EDIT
    press PARAM button
    type P-9999 then press PUNCH

it may also work on 5-series. Just try it.

Thanks Fordav I will certainly give it a bash .
Just got another 2 lathes with 6t controls(1x6ta and 1x6tb) and need to get the parameters copied and saved .
This could save me a bunch of time .
    Thanks
