Very impressive George. Your metering of the liquid seems pretty accurate. Is that a custom valve?
We use some darned expensive metering valves from loctite that can handle MEK based glue that ruins rubber seals and diaphrams of others we have tried. The nice feature these have is suck back effect to minimize stringing and drips. Very complex internals with the metering control and pneumatic actuator.
I have an 18" x 18" x 12" 3 axis assembly that may become a glue path apparatus very similar to your applicator. It is all Parker Daedal ballscrew slides, with Compumotor motors and drives that someone scrapped at a friends scrap yard.
The plan would be to make it assistive for mobility and visually challenged employees. Loading and unloading a pallets of parts would eliminate the hand gluing and alignment issues.
Nice video!
