As it is right now, surfcam 2003 requires you basically to pick wire frame geometry. When in shadded mode and you pick a surface, the wire frame geometry gets highlighted.Other software like gibbs cam, unigraphics let you highlight the surface you want to machine when in shaded mode. No wire frame geometry shows up. Click on the top of a part, it gets highlighted and a wat you go. No trying to hit the right lines when a part is really busy. I hope this helps. I'm not sure how else to explain it. If you look at my other posts,people have suggested I use the mask feature to shut off other geometry. I was just wondering if surfcam 2004 was the same way. |
