first off, disclaimer: i have never used turbocnc. But I am a programmer and my instinct on this would be that dos versions really shouldnt have any effect, bios settings for bus interrupt timings, pci, isa, depending on how your motherboard is design the parallel port hangs off from somewhere and the timings might be adjustable, not that they're likely to make a difference considering how slow a parallel port is in comparison to the data rates on these busses anyways. The other issue is the parallel port settings itself in the bios, epp, ecp, etc, I dont know what turbocnc wants, but tweaking this to a better mode might help things. |
