Hey thanks Geof. All that yakking and I didn't give the year

It's a 1999 so the x-axis switch isn't the prox style but the roller wheel limit switch style instead. I removed the way covers (mine are on the left for the x-axis switch) and proceeded to diagnose the problem. In the diagnosis screen you can actually see the status of these switches so I actuated it quite a few times with no change in the status. So then I thought I would unplug and swap the x and y-axis limit switches to see if the machine would show the same status on the y axis and sure enough, it did. I'm fairly sure that this switch is bad. It's $80.00 from Haas and it shows up tomorrow around noon. Hope this is my problem and not the board getting jiggy wit it. Thanks for all the help everyone!
