steve & norty the Millpwr... | | ... will do cutter comp.when you program in it's conversational or dkf files. It will not do CComp in G code format. See page 5-7 in the manual.
norty, the Millpwr does only a very basic g-code as you can see starting on page 3-32. I was able to create a post in an old 2 1/2 axis EzCad I have, by leaving the commands it will not do blank. I suppose if you need to, you can put something in a post command which the control ignores such as "M1". I do not have a mastercam post.
Most of the work I do on the 2 axis machine is in the conversational or dxf files. The conversational and the dxf are very user friendly once you get the hang of it. I do use g code at times for 3D profiling of a feature on the 3 axis machine. But, most big time 3D... I will do on my machining center.
