I've got almost the same board, but with the high output transistors the FET3 and I didn't even think of connecting up my motors that way.... Plus another mistake I believe I made which I realized last night was that I had the Current limting Resistor on the XY + to the board, not on the output to the motor... So that could have been why the motors stalled so easily.
So inadvertantly.... thanks Flyelectric and Chagrin....
I'll have to post pictures of my setup on the HF mill.
