You can use G32 with a feedrate and a slow spindle speed of like 30-50 RPM to get the hex flats at 12:00 and 6:00.

Or, In my opinion, The best way. After cutting off, use the cut off tool to turn the flats off to the root of the hex about .093-.125 wide. Wallah, no more hex to grab, just a qualified diameter. And on a good day, the round you turned will be wiped out by the rough turning tool when you rough out the diameter.
