 Where can I get 1/4" shafted endmills??? | |
Hi all, I'm building an MDF CNC mill and I'm using a laminate trimmer for the cutter. It has a 1/4" inch collet and I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction on where to get various endmills with 1/4" shafts. Or, is there an adaptor that can fit a 1/4" collet that allows me to change out different sized endmills? I'm almost done with the mill itself and I have all the steppers and electronics but, the whole endmill part of it still has me somewhat confused. Like, what's a good size to use for cutting MDF. And what's the basic procedure for going about actually cutting something. I know that once you zero out the machine on the workpiece you want to preserve that location but if your bits are different lengths then what happens? I know... so many questions!!! Any help would be appreciated.
