Spending twice as much as you need to. Chopper drives aren't as nice or efficient as PWM drives. You're also not getting mid resonance damping. For 1/2 the cost of the drives and breakout board, a GeckoG540 would work much better. Your router is also a good size for smaller motors. Those 34 frame motors are HUGE and much more than you need. A problem of those large motors is that they are slower. Yes, they will work, but smaller is actually better for your needs. |
