Depending on the spindle on your machine you may be using a prox switch for positioning. If you spin the spindle by hand do you get a spead read out in you spindle diagnostic page. If so you may need to check your signal with an oscope to the BDS5. The BDS5 maintenance manual should give you a break down of the feedback signal. If you are not familar with a scope you will be looking for Sign and Cosign waves on certain signals then a five volt high and a zero volt low on designated wires. I have seen the spindles on these machines become very touchy do to bad connections at the BDS5 so I always wiggle the wires while checking feedback. The ML software should be available thruogh your machine vendor. We have both ML and ML PLUS software. |
