You could line the wall with Roxul insulation and inter weave the batts, accoustic caulking behinde all joints will help alot as well.Drywall is good for dampening some sound but smooth finish surfaces cause standing waves if i,m not mistaken.For a cheap solution to the wall surface you coud staple on that foamy sheet that they use for beds as a top quilt.Ceiling tile can get expensive unless they are free use the safe and sound batt inso you can get from home depot it will make a difference,good luck. |
