Was also my first thought, but i assumed it was expensive.
To this I glued cloth (from an old T shirt lol).
Finally coat the cloth with a layer of silicon sealer (I used black aquarium sealer).
It’s coolant proof, sharp chip resistant and works a treat. |

Here are pictures of my first experiment with paper and painting the paper.
The paper i already had, and the paint is leftover paint like many of use have :-)
Really cheap :-)
The can of paint had dried paint on the side.
I toke it of to see how strong this dried paint is.
Not good, it was hard, not flexible, and it broke.
I am still going ahead with this experimental dust cover, to see how it really works in practice.
The carton bridges are for extra strength.
Parts of the carton still need to be cut out.
