The Vexta motors (according to your specs--Mine indicate much higher) have a best voltage of 75V. The Shinano Max at 64V, probably when wired BPP. How are you wiring the Shinanos?
Both are well within the range of the 201s and the 48V PSU. IMO the Vextas look to be very inefficient.
However, the Gecko drive is so much more powerful that it may well solve your problems. You have nothing to lose by trying the already in-hand G201s. They should make a considerable difference.

Thank you VERY much!
I don't know how to wire the motors. It is unfortunate the G540 won't be good since that is the best integrated solution I have seen to date.
Recommendations on wiring?
My router tables have ball screws that have had the ends lathe turned to accept a coupler and the motors have a flat machined on them so this coupler won't slip. So, I was really hoping to not disturb the motors. But the combo of the half-step controllers and these motors REALLY doesn't work well at very low speeds which is where most of my cutting has been done so far.
The Shinanos are on the largest table. I will try the 201s on that. Once I have two tables working again I will risk swapping out the motors on the other small table.
Thanks again.
