Assuming that you have the tool changer on your TM-1, the only drawback I see to the design is that you are filling a reservoir with coolant (the cavity around your spindle) without any check valve at the jets to keep the coolant in the cavity. I would worry about coolant dumping into the tool carousel compartment during a tool change. Also, I wonder about coolant starvation at first tool contact after a tool change. How long does it take to fill the cavity before you see coolant flying at peak trajectory? I know that extra Gallons per Minute and PSI (Liters and BAR's in your case) would fix the issue if any, but I am curious about your current setup. I love the design....but a check valve system at the jets (nozzles) will be a must to keep the tool carousel clean. |
