For off the shelf sharp inserts, the ones designed for aluminum have lots of top rake and work well on wood.
The sawdust will sure soak up the oil on the screws and slides. Make sure you oil it daily. Teflon stuff on the slides is great. You need to add oil at the ball nut to do it properly. Just putting it on the screw is not so good. |
